Formula One and Indy Car Results 1993 Version 1.0
-------------------------------------------------
This is a program that I have written for any motor racing fans
like myself that helps you keep track of the points totals in the two major
motor sport catagories - Formula One and Indy Car.
After loading the program you may choose to edit/view the results
from Formula One or Indy Car or quit.
After choosing the series, you are shown the results of the first race.
To change the results or race or series, use the mouse and go to the
menu which should look like below:-
Project
About
Select Race
Edit
Print
Quit
Sub menus are available on Select race and quit.
About - tells you about the author and the program. Not much really.
Select race - The sub menu gives you a list of all the races in the
year (16 in total). Formula One should start with South Africa
and end with Australia. Indy Car will start with Surfers Paradise
and end with Laguna Seca. The data has been entered up to the 15th
July 1993 (Hungarian GP and New Hampshire GP) and is CORRECT. Please
do not alter the files up to these dates if you ever intend to pass
on this program. To go to a particular race, release the mouse over
the race you want. Some races will naturally be blank.
Edit - This allows you to enter data into a race. Please only alter
blank races or races that you have entered. You will be asked if you
are sure you wish to edit a particular race if that race has already
been entered. When entering data the procedure is as follows -
FORMULA ONE
Firstly type in the name of the pole postion holder (surname and
start with a capital e.g. Alesi (not alesi or ALESI) otherwise the
program will not recognise it (will be corrected for Version 2))
Then type the name of the person with the fastest lap.
Afterwards you must type in the positions 1 to 6 with their finishing
times. Unfortunately, any new drivers who score points will not be
recognized - this will be corrected for version 2)
Finally type in the weather status of the race.
Then the results will appear with the drivers team, country and
how many points he currently has in the championship.
All this information can be got from Motoring News which is on sale
in the UK on Wednesdays and is the source of my information.
INDY CAR
Type in the pole sitters name as above (Mansell not MANSELL) and then
the leader of the most laps. (These are needed for the points total.)
The type in the results for positions 1 to 12 an the times.
Notes - Mario Andretti must be typed as Andretti, John Andretti is
J Andretti (if he races again), Al Unser Jr is Unser Jr and Al Unser
is just Unser (if he races again too).
Then the teams, countries and points of the drivers will be displayed.
Print - Make sure your correct printer driver is installed etc. and then
select print from the menu. Only single races will be printed.
Multiple printing will be available in Version 2.
Menu - Takes you back to the first screen so you can view/alter the
other series.
Quit - Quits the program.
Other things to note, the data is stored in a directory called F1&Indy
and make sure you copy all the files to a directory of that name if you
wish to transfer to a hard drive. When copying to hard drive, place the
program in a directory e.g HD1:Programs/F1&Indy_Scores/ and then make a
further directory (HD1:Programs/F1&Indy_Scores/F1&Indy) for the data.
The program cannot work without the files F1.DATA1, F1.SCORES1,
Indy.DATA1 and Indy.SCORES1 in the F1&Indy directory.
The drivers that you may enter are listed below -
Formula One
Alboreto, Alesi, Alliot, Andretti, Badoer, Barbazza, Barrichello,

- Add new drivers, teams to both series.
- Add new seasons and race titles.

words.
- Ability to view the current championship tables (inc. constructors)
and who can still win the championship or who is the champ when it
happens.
- Possibly little pictures of the circuits
- Digitised pictures of Formula One and Indy Cars when selecting
(AGA machines only because I want them in 256 colours)

Fianl note, please buy my game Olivier's Challenge which is a very fast
Tron type game. Works really well on accelerated machines but is still
extremely fast on an Amiga 500 or 600. Available from me for only £5
which also entitles you to a free upgrade to Olivier's Oval Challenge.
So if you want this excellent game, send another £5 (with your registration
to this program) to me at the address above.
Thank you.
Bring back Eldorado.
Give Alesi a decent car (i.e. a Williams)
And could someone give me Julia Sawalha's (from Press Gang/Absolutely
Fabulous/Second Thoughts etc.) and Philippa Forrester's (from Childrens
BBC/The Ozone etc) addresses PLEASE! (Phone numbers will do.......)
